As pastor of this great church, the First Unity Missionary Baptist Church, I am honored to bring greetings in the name of our Savior to you in the Thomasville, Georgia community and beyond. 

The Creator has allowed us to witness tremendous spiritual growth during the 40 years of the church’s existence. A church without growth is a dead church. First Unity has experienced a wealth of spiritual growth; therefore, our church is very much alive and striving to reach higher heights.

Upon arriving to this church in 1975 as pastor, I was welcomed by 23 energetic and vision-minded members.  It was the vision of those 23 people, the charter members who said as Jesus did in Matthew 16:18, “…upon this rock I will build my church.” They laid the solid foundation on which the church stands today.

Our church membership is led by First Unity’s motto: “Bible Based, Christ Centered, Holy Ghost Led and Mission Bound.”  Everything that we do here at First Unity is according to our motto.  We know that it is truly an uphill journey to glory. In order to reach our heavenly goal, we must always keep the faith and live a life modeling Christ, our perfect example.I am truly thankful to have this great opportunity to share our great church with you.
